About OCS Japan

OCS was established in September 1957 with contributions from the Asahi, Nikkei, Yomiuri and Mainichi newspapers, and began a service of delivering Japanese newspapers to Japanese living overseas.

This business evolved into the export and import of overseas publications and then into the current "International Express Service", making it the longest history in OCS Japan's international transportation services.

In March 2009, All Nippon Airways (also known as ANA) joined the capital, and by utilizing ANA's flights, a strong global network centered in Asia was established. As a result, packages can be delivered to major cities in East Asia as early as the day after pickup, and to major cities in the U.S. and Europe as early as two days after pickup. This overwhelming speed, which allows overseas deliveries in the same lead time as domestic ones, is the reason for our long-standing customer patronage.

What services are most frequently used by your customers?

Among a wide range of our services, IEX EXPORT and IEX IMPORT are the most used by our clients.

What is the reason for this?

IEX EXPORT, our export service, is often used by customers in the apparel industry, where trends change quickly and samples and other items need to be replaced quickly and frequently. By using IEX EXPORT in combination with IEX +LOGI Apparel, where OCS packs your shipments on the same day, you can ship them more easily and hassle-free. If the package is destined for Shanghai, it can be delivered to the consignee on the afternoon of the day following the pickup date.

What services would you like the customers to use more in the future?

IEX FRESH, a perishable goods transportation service, and iEC, a cross-border EC transportation service.

What is the reason for this?

In the fall of 2017, OCS Japan consolidated the functions of its then headquarters (Shibaura, Minato-ku, Tokyo) and Shinkiba Operation Center (Shinkiba, Koto-ku, Tokyo) and moved to Tatsumi, Koto-ku, Tokyo, which is conveniently located to take full advantage of Haneda and Narita airports.

The location is very close to Toyosu Market, which is said to have the world's largest trading volume, and where fish and vegetables from all over Japan gather. Taking advantage of this location, OCS Japan has established a dedicated receiving area in the Seafood Wholesale Building of Toyosu Market and is entrusted with the international transportation of freshly auctioned products on a 24-hour basis. OCS Japan's service is perfect for delivering delicious Japanese food to tables around the world.

OCS Japan also provides support for cross-border e-commerce, which is becoming increasingly popular after the Covid-19 pandemic. Our iEC service provides cost-effective last-mile delivery of shipments from businesses to individuals residing overseas, and automatically sends shipment information to your e-commerce or management site, making it easy to track shipments. You can also expect to enhance your business reputation with our high-quality delivery service.
